AI detectors do not detect AI. They measure how predictable your sentences are. Write clean, plain, well-structured prose — exactly what every writing class trains you to do — and you look statistically like a model. Non-native English speakers get flagged the hardest, because a smaller vocabulary reads as lower perplexity.

Keep it short and unemotional. State that the tool reports probability, not proof. Offer version history. Offer to discuss the argument in person — the fastest way to prove authorship is to explain your own reasoning out loud.
