How to Make AI-Drafted LinkedIn Posts Sound Like You

The platform is saturated with model-written posts. Here is what readers recognise instantly and how to strip it.

The format has become a parody of itself

One-line hook. Blank line. Blank line. A list of five lessons. "Agree?" Readers now scroll past this shape before reading a word, because it has come to mean "generated." Breaking the shape is most of the work.

Start with the thing that happened

Not a principle — an event. "A client asked for a refund on Tuesday" outperforms "Here are five lessons on client management," because the first could only be written by someone it happened to. Put the specific first and let the lesson arrive late, if at all.

Delete these on sight

Keep one thing unresolved

Model drafts always land on a tidy takeaway. Real posts often end unsure — "I still don't know if that was the right call." Ambiguity reads as honesty, and honesty is what makes a stranger stop scrolling.

Numbers, names, and small stakes

"Revenue grew significantly" is a model sentence. "It went from 4 clients to 6, and I nearly lost one of them" is yours. Specificity costs you nothing and buys the reader's trust immediately.

The read-aloud test

Say the draft out loud once. Every sentence you would never say to a colleague at a desk gets cut or rewritten. That single pass does more than any humanizer tool, and it takes two minutes.
