"I hope this email finds you well." "I came across your company and was impressed by your innovative approach." Every recipient has read these ten thousand times. They signal a template, and a template signals that you did not look. Delete both, always.
Name something only a reader would know: a line from their pricing page, a change on their careers page, a number from their last report. It takes ninety seconds to find and it is the entire difference between a reply and a delete. Models cannot invent this — they can only pad around it.
Four to six sentences. One ask. If it needs scrolling on a phone, it will not be read. Model drafts run long because length feels thorough; in outreach, length reads as automated.
Vague value propositions get vague silence. A number, a timeframe, or an honest limitation ("this only makes sense if you publish weekly") makes the message feel written by someone with a real business, because it was.
Line 1: the specific thing you noticed. Line 2: what you do, in plain words. Line 3: the concrete offer with a number. Line 4: a low-friction ask. Sign with your first name. That is the whole email.
